“Susie and I were married for thirty years. We were happy, really happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our best friends, the Olsons, were happily married too\u2026 that\u2019s probably why we bonded so well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stuart was a nice guy, easy to talk to, good heart\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Lizzie, his wife, was… is beautiful, smart, full of life\u2026 Definitely something else.<\/span><\/p>\n

We were so close we would go on vacation together, spend the weekends, sometimes we\u2019d meet up after work for a drink.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, one day, Lizzie and I noticed my wife and her husband seemed to be getting even closer\u2026 I knew by the way Susie\u00a0looked at Stuart; Lizzie saw how Stuart\u00a0laughed at Susie’s jokes.<\/span><\/p>\n

At first, we didn\u2019t give it too much thought. After all, their personalities were very compatible, so it was only natural they got along so well.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a way, Lizzie and I allowed the relationship to grow. We\u2019d even encouraged them to just go together to the movies or to dinner when we weren’t up to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

And yes, of course, we had our suspicions. Lizzie or I mentioned the possibility of them having an affair\u2026 and then we\u2019d kid each other about our jealousy, our insecurities\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, not long ago, Lizzie called me\u2026 Stuart had confessed he was in love with Susie.<\/span><\/p>\n

I asked my wife if she felt the same way about Stuart and she confirmed it. The following week they moved out and rented an apartment, ready to spend the rest of their days together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon after, Lizzie and I did the same\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

We thought they would never leave.”<\/span><\/p>\n
